Cat fur everywhere art was created as an outlet for creativity in a world of chaos. It all started back in 2021 from a trip up to my parent’s place on the Sunshine Coast. My Dad had recently gotten into working with resin while working with some live edge wood for around the house.
He was telling me about it while I was visiting and I loved the idea of such a versatile medium. I ordered some stuff while I was still visiting and got to creating when I got home. I hadn’t really leaned into my creative side since high school, with life and all that, so why not now? I have always been a person to have a second job, but covid ended that. Everything shut down and my second job let everyone go as they were shutting down.
Being creative was always a nice way of losing myself in something, so why not try? The first few things I made weren’t great, but they were a start. I did my first market at the end of 2021 and was hooked! People actually like what I was making and a dream was born. Many markets and items sold later, I’m still at it almost 5 years later. Still enjoying the process of sitting down and making something with my own creativity and flair. Cats in the house always means there is fur everywhere, that’s where the name came from. The space I create in has evolved over the years as well as the passion for creating. I have my ebbs and flows just like any artist, but I am always happy to shut the world out and create something magical with my own two hands.
